The Dilemma

Michael Bamidele is a software developer who is the lead for Naija Tech Ltd. His passion for developing quality software is unparalleled. He’s got some very fine solutions in his private GitHub repository and like a magician, he never quite seems to run out of innovative ideas. He has also got a fantastic team working with him. Jane creates content and develops ideas, Mary is the go-to person for UI & UX. Femi is the grip for the front-end and back-end. Nnamdi is the customer liaison and public relations manager for the team.

Everything looks great except for one thing. “MikeBee “ as his team members fondly refer to him has issues coping with the development of software, as well as creating and managing the environments to keep his fully developed software fully functional and available to his clients. He can’t find the time to research what infrastructure needs to be available to host his applications, test, and develop them while staying on top of his game as a software developer but it takes too much of his time. He is going to have to do one or the other but not both at the same time.

You see Naija Tech Ltd is simply a software company and providing environments that allow their products to be accessible to their customers seems to be a full-time business on its own.

Many times there is a lot of demand on businesses to keep up with core services needed to stay afloat or achieve deliverables. At the same time, it is necessary to maintain an environment that allows for the delivery of these core business services. This provides the case for the need to make use of managed services. This way MikeBee can focus on the core business services he is expected to deliver at Naija Tech Ltd while the environment that makes his product come alive is managed by another entity like Whogohost.
